Jewelry designed by Haughton students becomes real

A pair of Bossier Parish art students had their jewelery designs come to life thanks to Lockhart Jewelers.

Lockhart Jewelers recently sponsored a contest for art students, asking them to submit their best designs for a piece of jewelery. Instead of a single winner, two designs stood out and both artists had their designs turned into real rings, which Lockhart Jewelers gave the winners as their prize.

Junior Larissa Wells and Senior Brittney Driggers from Haughton High School had their rings presented to them Monday morning. Junior Kimbelee McCreery and Senior Collin Thomas, also from Haughton High School, were the runners up in the competition. Each of them was awarded a gift certificate.
