ALERT: Boil advisory issued for some Village Water System customers | Environment
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A boil water advisory has been issued for some members of the Village Water System in the Haughton area, effective immediately. Officials with Village Water System say the advisory was issued because of an emergency repair on a main line that feeds into customers who live in the Mimosa Gardens Subdivision.
The boil advisory includes areas extending from Mimosa Gardens Subdivision. The following streets: Mimosa Blvd, Berry Cir., Hickory Hollow, Sweetgum Dr. and Murray Ln.
The advisory was issued, according to officials as a precaution after the water was turned off to fix the leak and will be in effect until further notice. Residents effected by the boil advisory are being asked to boil all water for one full minute before consumption or use.
A sample has been collected and delivered to the Office of Public Health's State Regional Laboratory for testing. Until the State Health Dept. deems that sample safe, the advisory will remain in effect.
