3 Bossier Parish Deputies receive promotions

Chief Deputy Charlie Owens of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office promotes three deputies Monday morning to the rank of sergeant with new assignments.  (l-r) Sgt. BPCC nurses group donates stuffed animals to police/fire depts.

BPCC Student Nurses Association today presented stuffed animals collected during the organization’s “Tuff Stuff” Toy Drive. The stuffed animals will be given by police and fire departments to children in times of crisis (domestic violence calls, house fires, etc.).

DWI Checkpoint set for Friday night in Bossier Parish

Louisiana State Police will set up a DWI Checkpoint on Friday, March 15, somewhere in Bossier Parish. Officers will man the checkpoint from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Louisiana sheriffs meet in Bossier for conference

Sheriffs from across the state of Louisiana are meeting this week in Bossier City for the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association 2013 Midwinter Conference.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington is hosting the two-day bi-annual conference held Tuesday through Thursday.
